Alaska’s Most Unique Venue

Weddings – Corporate Events – Intimate Gatherings

Located just an hour south of Anchorage in Portage, AWCC offers a peaceful and scenic setting for the ultimate Alaska experience.

The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center offers a unique, one-of-a-kind event space that is nestled amongst a breathtaking landscape and Alaska’s beautiful wildlife. With spectacular views of Turnagain Arm, the Chugach Mountains, impressive glaciers, and herds of animals, the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a venue unlike any other.

Bison Hall

The perfect place to host any event from black tie to down home.

Bison Hall is a beautiful barn-like building with a high vaulted ceiling that showcases wood beams, a moose antler chandelier, and large windows that allow natural light to flow in. For more intimate gatherings consider the 40-person “classroom” or rent the entire hall for a larger event. Bison Hall is available for rent throughout the year.

The Point

Where the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center meets the waters of Turnagain Arm, one of the most scenic places in Alaska unfolds – The Point.

With wood bison and elk on one side and views of the water, mountains, and glaciers all around, AWCC offers a gazebo and boardwalk for family reunions and wedding couples to take breathtaking photos. If you rent Bison Hall then you can use the Point, with gazebo, for no extra charge for a maximum of 60 minutes.

Elopements at The Point

Elopements can be booked 30 days in advance. The 2024 Point Elopement price is $14.50 per person, in addition to the cost of admission, for up to 20 guests, for a maximum of 60 minutes.
